“I have been an elder at Harvest Community Church for over 25 years. My wife, Judy, and I have lived in Camas all of our 46 years of marriage. We have 5 children and 11 grandchildren. I enjoy my semi-retirement position as a bus driver for Camas School District; I also drive for youth group camps and events. When I do find some down time, I relax with a good movie which sometimes just morphs into a good snooze. Harvest has been our Church home—people there are like family. I feel Harvest Church creates a community of believers that support and encourage one another. I especially like to greet everyone I see Sunday morning and to get to know people new to Harvest Church.”

“I started coming to Harvest in 2001 with my wife Michelle, and my two boys Daniel and Christian, after moving here from the San Francisco Bay Area. It's a joy to get to know the people here, and serve the Lord with them. I enjoy teaching the word, as I lead a small group bible study and the adult Sunday School class. My prayer is that all at Harvest will enjoy a deep, transforming relationship with the Lord. I work in Portland as the Communications Manager for the ambulance dispatch center at American Medical Response.”

“I gave my heart to Christ at a neighborhood kid’s bible study at the age of 12. Though that moment didn’t seem significant, I soon had a desire to read the bible, go to church and fellowship with other believers which continued to develop into my adulthood.
As a young adult I met Tammi who was to become my darling and devoted wife. Christ was the foundation of our relationship which has deepened ever since then. We have 3 adult sons, 2 daughters in law and 2 granddaughters.
We move here from the Seattle area 20 years ago from God leading us to take a major step of faith. There were a number of trials related to that but in looking back we can see God's hand at work which is far more valuable than the difficult times. I work in the building maintenance industry and Tammi works in healthcare. We enjoy reading and going on walks together in God’s wonderful creation.
We have been attending Harvest since early 2015 and find fulfillment in living for God’s glory and the building up of Christ’s body through various forms of involvement and service. We were attracted by the teaching of God's word which is expounded in a clear and practical, yet uncompromising way. When the opportunity to serve as an elder came up I felt very challenged to fill such a role but after much prayer and consideration I could see what and honor and privilege it would be. Tammi and I love being with God's people and making much of Jesus our elder shepherd.”
