Gospel for Life: A Study in Galatians
God’s law vs. God’s promise?
Galatians 3:15-25
God’s law confines all to receive the promise of life by faith in Christ
Review of 3:1-14
- Evidence that conversion comes by faith not law.
- Proof that being counted right with God has always been by faith.
- Why no one can be counted right with God by works.
1.) The priority and permanence of the promise, 3:15-18
2.) The purpose of the law is to expose sin, 3:19-20
3.) God’s law is not against His promises but no law could give life, 3:21
4.) The law confines all to receive the promise of life by faith in Christ, 3:22-23
5.) The law disciplines so we may be counted righteous by faith in Christ, 3:24-25
